GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Police are investigating an early morning stabbing, which resulted in one man sustaining serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The assault occurred around 2 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, outside Agave Sports Lounge, 2053 S. Division Avenue, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department.
Police said one man was stabbed twice in the back before being transported to an area hospital for treatment. Officers did not make any arrests, and it wasn’t immediately clear what led up to the stabbing.
The incident remains under investigation by the Grand Rapids Police Department. It was the second overnight stabbing.
Around 7:55 p.m. Thursday, police said a man was stabbed multiple times following an altercation in a residence in the 800 block of 10th Street NW. No arrests were made, and the victim’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.
